Biography
First spotted singing with Larrikin Love, the enigmatic Lauren Doss took up the persona Mechanical Bride for her debut EP ‘In The Throes'.
We signed her after hearing the awesome a cappella ‘Chapel' (only 80 seconds in length) which was augmented by ‘Poor Boy' and ‘Love is Losst', all recorded by herself on Garageband.
The packaging was sublimely handmade gatefold vinyl, which set the precedent for her next releases; a stunning cover of the pop-smash ‘Umbrella' followed by the substantial ‘Black Skeleton Sea' EP.
We collected all of these limited vinyl pieces on the ‘Part II Eps' release, as a pre-cursor to what comes next...
